“I vote to honor those lives lost, and my elders who were denied the right to vote. I vote to assure a better life for my grand-nieces, grand-nephews and the younger generations.”

“I vote because I believe in the power of voting. I grew up during the 1960’s Civil Rights movement, which was the fight for equal housing, education, jobs, health care and the right to vote. I am inspired by the progress made, and saddened by the many lives tragically lost in that struggle.

“I vote to honor those lives lost, and my elders who were denied the right to vote. I vote to assure a better life for my grand-nieces, grand-nephews and the younger generations.

“I vote to exercise my political power because my vote matters.”

“I vote because of all our children. Children represent none of our past, some of our present, and all of our future.”
