Woodside on the Move
WOTM is a leading force in NYC tenant advocacy initiatives as part of the Queens chapter of the housing coalition Stabilizing NYC.
It’s also one of the largest free after school and summer camp providers in the city, serving over 800 elementary school children in the community.
Programs
Free monthly legal clinics with attorneys from reputable organizations such as Queens Legal Services (QLS), where tenants can actively participate, ask questions about their individual situations and seek assistance in navigating the housing court system.
Youth after school programs, save spaces, and movement building
Provide our community with the tools to enforce their rights as tenants by offering them community organizing training, education outreach, housing workshops, legal clinics, research and policy as well as local and citywide coalition building. The largest number of cases we handle involve eviction proceedings, rent overcharges, heat and hot water disputes, pest infestation, repairs and maintenance issues, and housing discrimination.
