Embody

Street Works applies MJN’s 3 values — justice, loving care, and solidarity — to make justice normal in the cultural asset ecosystem. (Read more here about why we're focused in this particular program on the cultural asset ecosystem.) Embodiment is one of its design principles.

• Authenticity: Do, not say. 

• Lived experience: Deep knowledge comes from experiencing, not just reading.

• Whole personhood: Systems change demands soul change. As artists, soul-change is creating experiences to feel, touch, smell, see, talk about, and/or taste often-abstractified and disembodied ideas. Beloved experiences can re-thread the path from consciousness to the deeper place of soul.

• Bodiliness: Soul work is physical, emotional work.
