For the past 18 years, Cari has been the Principal at Orng Dot, a strategic systems development and designed experiences consultancy she founded to work with startups, social enterprises, and the impact investment community.

Her work is rooted in strategy, systems thinking, equity, sustainability, human centered design, education, and relationship building and has consistently focused on bringing people together to strengthen initiatives, radically collaborate and build connections that produce impact. Previous client engagements include: SOCAP16-19, Orfalea Foundation, Future of Fish and Mission Investors Exchange. She was also on the design team that created the first LEED-type certification process for businesses and communities at an ecosystem level.

Most recently Cari served as Vice President of SOCAP Global and led the content curation, execution and strategic development for the thought leadership platform for a global community, ecosystem and marketplace accelerating movement towards a more just, equitable and sustainable economy. At SOCAP Global she co-designed SPECTRUM, a community of multicultural changemakers building an inclusive, impact economy focused on equity, action, justice and closing the wealth gap. In 2022, MJN led the content curation for SOCAP22, bringing a justice focus to conference and content.

Cari is most comfortable when pushing the leading edges of challenging topics and finding a home for innovative ideas that will soon become commonplace thinking. She has worked in development, operations, coaching, event production, and executive leadership roles and thrives on helping create the structures and interactions that build foundations for vital dialogue and real change.
